"In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Florence Lockhart and brothers: Herbert Bailey, Minus Bailey, and Robert Bailey Jr.
"Roy was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend. He was as avid rabbit hunter and enjoyed his game chickens and liked going to horseshows. He had a very special dog “Baby Girl”. He was a retired coal miner of 25 years, and of the Pentecostal Faith. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

"...The last wife of Zachariah James Roark was Irine Hankins from Tazewell, VA. Zachariah & Irine had 5 children, one of which was buried at the Roark Cemetery on the Roark Farm, whose name was Tommy Roark.
"Irine Hankins & her family lived on the farm across the Clinch river, & Zachariah Roark & his family also lived on the farm on the other side of the Clinch River. The farm was bought from Edna S Harman by the Hankins family in 1921 Deed Book No. 90 page 590.
"Irine Hankins parents were Nancy J Hankins & Thomas Hankins surviving husband of Nancy J Hankins.
"In 1951 Irine Hankins Roark and Zachariah Roark her husband, and Thomas W Hankins sold the 47 acres to Vanam C Roark and Carrie Goodman Roark his wife. That tract of land was located about 5 miles from the town of Tazewell Virginia. This land was close to the Peery Family, Deed book 35 page 338 in 1892. This tract of land was lying on both sides of the Clinch River, and at one time had been the site of the Old Peery Sawmill site The Edna S Deed Book No 35 page 338.

He loved to wade the river when we went swimming in the swimming hole we had created in the river.

I was a child then, but remember hearing some one saying she was young & had several children. I remember seeing one of the girls at school, & I heard that a teacher had adopted her. She was a beautiful girl with fair complexion & coal Black hair."
