"Lonnie Leslie Blankenship, 91, of Cyclone, WV, passed away on Wednesday September 9, 2020 at Raleigh
General Hospital, Beckley, WV. He was born on January 12, 1929 at Devils Fork of Barkers Ridge, WV, a son of
the late Lonnie and Gladys Erie McKinney Blankenship. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by a
daughter Christy Rene Blankenship; two sons Thomas Maynor and William Leslie "Butch" Blankenship; two
brothers Marvin and Bobby Dean Blankenship; and three sisters Edith, Peggy and Joyce Ann. Survivors include
his loving wife of 48 years Hallie May Maynor Blankenship; three sons Tony Maynor of Durham, NC, Jeffrey
Allen (Melanie Harrison) Blankenship of Bim and Lonnie Leslie (Crystal) Blankenship of Cyclone; a daughter
Roberta Gail (Michael) Kitchens of Hickory, NC; a sister Mary Polk of Midway; twenty-two grandchildren;
eighteen great grandchildren; and a host of other loving family and friends. Funeral service will be held at 1 pm
on Tuesday September 15th in the Chapel of Stafford Family Funeral Home, Lynco, WV with Rev. Billy Gibson, Sr.
officiating. He will be laid to rest in Palm Memorial Gardens, Matheny, WV. Friends may gather with the family
from 12 pm until time of service at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be family and friends. The family is being

"Art "Jr." Morton, 32, 2109 Miller Ln., Johnson City, died with his nephew, Michael Morton, Saturday, September 10, 2005, as the result of a motorcycle accident. He was a loving father, son, brother and uncle. Mr. Morton was a native and lifelong resident of Johnson City and was a son of Art and Myrtle Marie Laughren Morton. He was a 1991 graduate of David Crockett High School. Mr. Morton served in the U.S. Army and the Army National Guard in the 776th Maintenance Division. He was preceded in death by his great-aunt, Stella Morton, and his great-grandfather, J.C. Morton.
