"Hazel Marie Zirkle, 83, of Canal Winchester, OH, formerly of Accoville, WV, went to be with the Lord Saturday, November 10, 2007, from her home after a long illness. She was born February 13, 1924, at Cameo in Boone Co., WV, a daughter of the late Watt and Lena May Hager Adkins. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one daughter, Shelia Mullins; one son, Larry Joe Zirkle; two sisters, Allie Jackson and Lucy Brickles; and four brothers, Watt Adkins, Jr., Roy Adkins, Raymond Adkins, and Glen Adkins. Hazel was a home maker and was of the Baptist faith. Surviving are two daughters, Tonnia Bragg of Accoville, WV and Sherry Mullins of Columbus, OH; one son, John Zirkle of Columbus, OH; two sisters, Madaline Neece and Kathleen Foster, both of Pomeroy, OH; 9 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, November 14, 2007 at the Krantz-McNeely Funeral Home at Man, WV with Rev. Harry "Buddy" Hager officiating. LORAIN -- Jonce R. Trent, 79, of Lorain, died Friday, Nov. 11, 2005, at home, following a lengthy illness.
He was born in Mingo County, W.Va., on Feb. 14, 1926, and moved to Lorain in the 1950s. He was employed as a crain switcher for U.S. Steel, retiring in 1980 after 30 years of service. He was a member of the United Steelworkers of America Local 1104. While living in West Virginia he had worked as a coal miner. He enjoyed fishing, camping, hunting and collecting model cars. He enjoyed playing baseball in his younger years. He was the neighborhood bike repair and parts supplier, providing both new and used bicycles and parts to area children. Survivors include his wife of 59 years, Hazel M. (nee Harvey) Trent; daughters Patricia M. Laughlin and Phyllis A. Armstrong, both of Lorain; sons James E. Trent, Jerry L. Trent and Jonce Ray Trent, all of Lorain; brother, Herbert Trent of McConnellsville; and eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his son, Charles R. Trent, in 2003; parents Charles and Meadie (nee Mounts) Trent; brothers Joe Trent, Bud Trent, Johnny Trent, Frank Trent and Arvin Trent; and sisters Jane Ramos, Pearl Trent and Evelyn Trent. Born January 30, 1943 in Mullens, she was the daughter of the late Phillip V. Graham and Kathleen Little Graham.
For many years, Mildred worked as an LPN in WV, Ohio and Indiana. While her health permitted, she and her husband Samuel sung in churches. She loved working crossword puzzles and was devoted to her family.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother Stacy Graham.
Those left to cherish her memory, her husband of 53 years, Samuel Leonard Damewood; Three children, Denny Harold Smith Jr. and wife Teresa, Sandra Lynn Turner and Kimberly Ann Bridges;
Eight grandchildren; Ten great-grandchildren; Three siblings, Joyce Blankenship, Wilma Kirk, and Bobby Graham;
