"Anna Lee White Loftis, 83, of Van went peacefully to be with the Lord on Wednesday, March 28, 2012, at Boone Memorial Hospital. She was born August 30, 1928, to the late Jess Carl White and Marie Browning White. On January 24, 1948, she married Elwood "Teed" Loftis. They were married for 57 years before he went home to be with the Lord. She was also preceded in death by four brothers, Pete, Jackie, Clifford and Bill White. She was a member of Gordon Union Church. Survivors left to cherish her memory are two daughters, Vanessa May of Van and Janet (Ranny) Hyatt of Barboursville; three granddaughters, Jennifer Sexton of Barboursville, Misty (John) Bowling of Madison and Stacie (Bill) Acord of Oceana; seven great-grandchildren, Cody and Colton Hammond, Madelyn and Emma Sexton, Brandon and Haylee Bowling and Livvie Acord; three brothers, Rex (Patricia) White of North Myrtle Beach, S.C, Mike (Maggie) White of Nightdale, N.C, and James Allen White of Zebulon, N.C.; two sisters, Nadine White of Charleston and Betty Jarrell of Columbus, Ohio; and a host of nieces, nephews and friends. Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Saturday, March 31, at Handley Funeral Home, Danville with Matthew Johner and Phil Rowe officiating. Burial will follow in Memory Gardens, Madison..."
