"Mr. McKinney was a former cut-off saw operator in the sawmill industry and a graduate of Herndon High School. He was a 10 year resident of Mullens, formerly residing in the Lusk Settlement. In his leisure, he loved to hunt and fish.
"In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by a brother, Freddie McKinney; and a brother-in-law, Eddie Strickland.
"Those left to cherish his memory include a sister, Susan Strickland, of Mullens; two nephews, Michael Strickland and his wife, Kate, of Ohio City, Ohio and Sean Strickland and his companion, Christa, of Mullens; a great niece, Alexanderia Strickland; and two great nephews, Justin and Taylor Strickland.
