"Louis was a member of the Davin Baptist Church at Davin. He was a veteran of the United States Navy during WWII. A coal miner for 38 years, Louis retired from Eastern Associated Coal Corporation’s Kopperston No. 1 Mine. He and his devoted wife resided at Vances Bottom for 35 years.
