"Born Oct. 18, 1959, at Pineville, he was the son of the late Dennis W. and Rhada Cook Kennedy. "Tommy was a graduate of Oceana High School and Bluefield State College. He was a substitute teacher in Wyoming County for two years and then was employed by First Community Bank for 22 1/2 years. He was owner and operator of Tom Kennedy Photography in Oceana for three years. "In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a baby sister, Deanna, and a brother, Ronnie. "Survivors include his loving wife of 17 years, Elizabeth L. Brooks Kennedy; “daddy’s little buddy,” his daughter, Lindsey Ladair Kennedy of the home; mother-in-law, Carol Brooks, and brother-in-law, John D. Brooks, both of Pineville; a niece, Marrissa D. Brooks of Logan; and an aunt, Doris Rose of Oceana. "In keeping with Tommy’s wishes, his body was donated to the West Virginia School of Osteopathic Medicine in Lewisburg.
