"...I wish I had more info to tell you regarding Adam Harmon but all I have is what was told to my Dad after his mother Ellen Ford Harmon (Adam), Hall (Rush), Johnston (Samuel) passed away. According to my Dad's Aunt Rebecca Ford (George), Adam Harmon disappeared after a visit to see my Grandmother Ellen. I do have a copy of their marriage license which shows they were married at the time of my Dad's birth. My Dad had no knowledge of Adam Harmon or the marriage until he found the marriage license after Ellen's death so you can imagine the shock of knowing he was a legal birth instead of being born to an unmarried Ellen as he was led to believe all his life.
