"Nancy Willa Jean Bennett, 86, of Herndon, W.Va., died at 2:15 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 28, 1988, in Raleigh General Hospital, Beckley, W.Va., following an extended illness. Mrs. Bennett was bom May 20, 1902 in Saulsville, W.Va., to Charles Reighnor and Frances Rachael (Tolliver) Ray. She was married to Ernest Robinson Bennett, who died April 26, 1981. Surviving are ten children, Mrs. Hubert (Sybil) Childs, Clinton, Tenn., Mrs. Kenna (Joyce) Thompson, Ravenswood, W.Va., Mrs. Thurmond (Jacqueline) Taylor, Peterstown, W.Va., Mrs. Ernest (Geraldine) Long, Red Sulpher, W.Va., Mrs. Claude (Audie) Colbird and Mrs. Richard (Frances) Drukker, both of Herndon, Mrs. Alton (Opal) Groves, J. Eugene, Charles and Vance Bennett, all of Bucyrus, a step-son, John Bennett, Herndon, 46 grandchildren, 55 great grandchildren and one great great grandchild. Preceding her in death were a son, David F. Bower, a daughter, Alta Bower Belcher, four brothers and a sister. Mrs. Bennett moved to Bucyrus in 1956 and lived here until she moved to West Virginia in 1984. Graveside services will be held Saturday at 1 p.m. with Rev. Jack Hager officiating. Burial will be in Crawford County Memory Gardens. Arrangements are being handled by the Munz-Pirnstill Funeral Home."
