local hospital.

"He was born April 27, 1 926 in Caretta, W.V.. to the Iate James and Hazel Beavers.
He was a United States Navy Veteran serving in both World War ll and the Korean
War in the Construction Battalion. He was a member of the VFW Post#1491 .

"Mr. Beavers was a retired salesman from Wil—Burt Compeny after more than 30years
of service. He was a member of Christ United Methodist Chumh and was a charter
member of St. Paul's United Methodist Church. he was а lifetime charter member of
the Chattanooga Water-Ski Club, and was instrumental in starting the East Bralnerd
Ball Fields.

"His sisters, Erma, Phyllis, Bonnie, and Dana preceded him in death.

"He is survived by his speciai friend, Ms. Billie Jennings. of Hixson; daughter, Linda
Beavers Wagner and her husband, Jack Andrew of Chattanooga; son. Kelsle James
“Jimmy" Beavers. Jr. of Murfreesbom; daughter, Sue B. Owens and her husband,
Randy M. of Ooltewah; the mother cf his three children, Frances M. Beavers of
Chattanooga: grandchildren, Melinda Hamby, Lance Wagner. Julie Knight. Courtney
Lyttle K. J. Beavers, Ill, and Cole Owens; sister, Margie Jones of Richmond, Va.;

"She raised her children in Chattanooga before moving to Nashville where she lived for 25 years. After 20 years of service, with Family and Children's Services for the State of Tennessee, she returned to Chattanooga five years ago.
She was a former resident of Creekside Retirement Community.

"She was a member of Christ United Methodist Church and the BYKOTA Sunday School Class. For many years, she volunteered as a Girl Scout Leader as well as a Church Youth Leader.
Her brothers, Ernest Woody, Jr., David Woody, and sisters, Elizabeth Odum, Anna Margaret Quesenberry, Agnes Metz, and Sue Holloway preceded her in death.

"Survivors include her children, Linda (Jack) Wagner of Chattanooga; Sue (Randy) Owens of Ooltewah; Kelsie James Beavers, Jr. of Murfreesboro; grandchildren, K. J. Bessie Louise Caldwell, 92, of Brier Creek, formerly of Beckley went to be with the Lord on Monday, March 10, 2008 at Bowers Hospice House in Beckley.
Born January 23, 1916 at Pineville, WV she was the daughter of the late Cal and Phoebe Wills Webb.
Prior to her retirement, Mrs. Caldwell was a secretary for the Raleigh County Board of Education. She was a member of the Baileysville Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Caldwell; brothers, Charles, Tom and Cal Webb; and sisters, Bertha Harmon, Bertie Updike, Virginia Bryant and infant sisters, Wanda and Gladys Webb.
Those left to cherish her memory are her daughters, Susan Stiltner and her husband, Allan of Brier Creek and Judy Caldwell of Beaver; her grandson, who was so precious to her, Jared Stiltner of Brier Creek and a sister Blanche Gravely of Huntington.

"Born October 21, 1905, in Wyoming County, she was the daughter of the late Cal and Phoebe Wills Webb.
"Mrs. Harmon was a self-made woman. A widow at the age of 29, with a minimal education and four children, she put herself through beauty school. She became a very successful beautician and was the owner-operator of Bertha's Beauty Shop in Mullens for numerous years. She loved working with people and seeing her customers. She moved to Princeton upon her retirement, where she lived on Honaker Avenue for many years. She later moved back to Mullens. Following a stroke in 1999 she lived in Princeton with her daughter Peggy, who gave her loving care. Bertha was a woman of great faith and was active in her church. She was a faithful and supporting member of the Highland Avenue Baptist Church in Mullens for over 60 years, and was active in the First Baptist Church in Princeton after her retirement.
"In addition to her parents, Mrs. Harmon was preceded in death by her first husband, Russell Staton; her second husband, Lycurgus Harmon; one son, Jack Warren Staton, a decorated soldier in World War II; four sisters, Gladys Webb, Wanda Webb, Virginia Webb Bryant and Bertie Webb Updyke; three brothers, Tom Webb, Charles Webb and Cal Webb, Jr.; son-in-law, James Edward Baker; grandson, Jim Bob Baker; and daughter-in-law, Marcella Staton.

"Bertha Webb Staton Harmon, 99, of 1108 Hinton Street in Princeton, formerly of Mullens, died Thursday, June 09, 2005, at Princeton Community Hospital.
"Born October 21, 1905, in Wyoming County, she was the daughter of the late Cal and Phoebe Wills Webb.
"Mrs. Harmon was a self-made woman. A widow at the age of 29, with a minimal education and four children, she put herself through beauty school. She became a very successful beautician and was the owner-operator of Bertha's Beauty Shop in Mullens for numerous years. She loved working with people and seeing her customers. She moved to Princeton upon her retirement, where she lived on Honaker Avenue for many years. She later moved back to Mullens. Following a stroke in 1999 she lived in Princeton with her daughter Peggy, who gave her loving care. Bertha was a woman of great faith and was active in her church. She was a faithful and supporting member of the Highland Avenue Baptist Church in Mullens for over 60 years, and was active in the First Baptist Church in Princeton after her retirement.
"In addition to her parents, Mrs. Harmon was preceded in death by her first husband, Russell Staton; her second husband, Lycurgus Harmon; one son, Jack Warren Staton, a decorated soldier in World War II; four sisters, Gladys Webb, Wanda Webb, Virginia Webb Bryant and Bertie Webb Updyke; three brothers, Tom Webb, Charles Webb and Cal Webb, Jr.; son-in-law, James Edward Baker; grandson, Jim Bob Baker; and daughter-in-law, Marcella Staton.
"Survivors include one daughter, Charlotte "Peggy" Baker of Princeton; two sons, W.R. "Bob" Staton of Mullens and Thomas Staton and wife, Pat, of Princeton; three granddaughters, Patty Anderson and husband, Myron, Vicki Fleshman and husband, Jerry, and Gwynn Staton; four grandsons, Robert Staton and wife, Beth, Greg Staton and wife, Kristin, Judge Jack Staton and wife, Robin, and Delegate Richard Staton; 12 grandchildren; two sisters, Bess Caldwell of Brenton and Blanche Gravely of Barboursville.
"Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday, June 10, at the George W. Seaver Chapel of Seaver Funeral Home in Princeton with Dr. David Dockery officiating, and at 11 a.m. Saturday, June 11, at the Mullens Baptist Church in Mullens with Rev. Paul Smith officiating.
"Burial will follow at the Sunset Memorial Park in Beckley, WV. Grandsons and great grandsons will serve as pallbearers..."
