"Mr. Ford was an elder at Smyrna Sabbath Chapel. His greatest joy was studying God’s word and sharing his faith. He also enjoyed being in nature especially gardening and ginsenging. He served as a medic on a hospital ship in the US Army during World War II.

"Jimmy was a lifelong resident of Wyoming County and a graduate of Pineville High School. Believing in the Lord with all of his heart, he was a member of Cooper Memorial Baptist Church. He was the owner of Southland Termite Pest Control. Jimmy loved visiting with friends along his route, spending time with his grandchildren, helping others and spending time outdoors. Jimmy was a remarkable man.
