"Morse Hayden Fulp was born 01/13/1908 to
Edgar and Nannie Fulp. He had four brothers and
three sisters and they lived in Washington, D.C.
"He married Annie Mae Haney and had five
children, Virginia Mae, Mary Lee, Rita Jane,
Jean Etta and Betty Ann.
"He worked 3D years in the mines at U.S.
Steel, Gary, W. Va. He was a braddish man,
built stoppings and was a brick mason.
"My Dad was a good father, husband hard
worker and provider. After his day shift job at
the mines, he would come in and start to work
on the houses he built at Jr. Poca. He built four
of them. He was an excellent brick and stone—
mason and would work until 9 or 10 o’clock at
night. Mother and us five girls were his helpers.
He meant a lot to us, but there was always
work to do. He was very strict and made hard
workers out of all of us.
"Mother passed away in 1991. Dad passed
away of cancer, January 22, 1956. He is buried
at Floderfield (sic, Roderfield)Cemetery.
"I bought the property and houses that we
built at Jr. Paca. They are of great sentimental
value to me. Submitted by: Jean Chinsalo, Daughter,
43 Bland Street, Welch, WV 24801. "
