"Born in Three Forks on May 26, 1941, he was the son of the late John Pershing and Margaret Coleman Hagerman. Mr. Hagerman was a veteran of the U.S. Army where he served in the Vietnam Conflict and was a retired welder. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather and was of the Pentecostal faith. He was loved by everyone who knew him. "Linda May Hagerman Linda May Hagerman, 60, of Wytheville, VA, formerly of Avondale, WV, passed away Saturday, December 24, 2011, in Johnson City Medical Center in Johnson City, TN. Linda was born June 3, 1951 in Avondale, WV, a daughter of the late Guy and Lillian Griffith Walls. She was a homemaker, she loved to travel, and was of the Pentecostal Holiness Faith. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Pershing Crockett Hagerman, Jr., two brothers, Arnold Walls and Leon "Pee Wee" Walls, and three sisters, Patricia Walls, Barbara Mullins, and Alice Payne Survivors include one son, Eric Matney and wife Tracy of Piney Flats, TN; two granddaughters, Terri Matney of Avondale and Shelby Allen of Bartley; three grandsons, Shawn Matney of Garland, Austin Kennedy and Josh Kennedy both of Piney Flats, TN; one sister, Arlene Walls and companion Larry Robinette of Premier; one brother, Franklin Walls and wife Debbie of Oceana; a sister-in-law, Nana-Lou Walls of Avondale;and a host of nieces and nephews.
