In her community Vern was an active member of Lacoma Baptist Church of Cyclone where she raised her family and was a devoted member of the Ladies Aide. She loved to visit and fellowship with friends and family, support the local school and youth activies, and lend a helping hand to her family and neighbors. Our world would be a better place to live in if we would follow the shining example of the amazing lady who by faith lived a Godly life and was an inspiration to everyone who knew her!
"Vern was the graceful backbone of her family to whom she provided love, comfort, encouragement, and hope through her practical wisdom and thoughtful, nourishing guidance. She possessed strength of character, a keen sense of right and wrong, and a Christ like, unconditional love for others that she instilled in her children and grandchildren through daily example. It was her humble prayer that her entire family would some day join her in Heaven.
