"She was born April 9, 1923, in Bud, and was a daughter of the late Joseph and Charlotte Belcher Simpson. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Lyle Massey on January 12, 1981; her stepfather, Wilson Rowe; two sisters, Jennie Sizemore and Annie McKinney; two brothers, Levi Simpson and Harrison Simpson; and a grandson.
"Grace attended St. Paul's United Methodist Church of Ansted. She was a member of Ansted Eastern Star Chapter 134 OES for more than 40 years. She was the first woman ever to operate a Gravely tractor dealership. She was the water commissioner in the 1980s, and for 26 years she operated Mount Terrace restaurant in Victor, and was owner and operator of a souvenir shop, furniture and clothing store, located on her premises. She was presented a distinguished West Virginian certificate in 2002. Grace took much pride in her work. She kept her home and yard immaculate.
"Surviving are two daughters, Patricia Russell and her husband Bob of Hurricane and Lyla Lucier of Littleton, Colo.; five sisters, Ruby Hess of Michigan, Erma Lane of Bluefield, Va., Sadie Chandler of Princeton, Bessie Flame of Corinne, and Zola Trivett of Tucson, Ariz.; three grandchildren, Bridget Haggerty and Barbara Brenner, both of Colorado and Travis Williams of Oak Hill; and 10 great-grandchildren.

In 1956 she started Sizemore's Nursing Home and over the next 32 years she cared for 56 guests from many of the prominent Princeton families. "In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William Tolbert Sizemore in 1940; three brothers; three sisters; and one grandson. "Survivors include three children, Lueanna Jones and Sarah Russell and her husband Rev. Harold Russell all of Princeton and C.J.
