He enjoyed hunting and fishing, but most of all he loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. "In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by six brothers, Verne E. Clay, Ted R. Clay, Ray W. Clay, Henry Clay Jr., Clarence G. Clay and Billy B. Clay; and three sisters, Blanche Clay, Corma Workman and Edna M. Cook. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one son, Jeffrey Alan Goodman; three brothers, Peerless Goodman, George Goodman, Jr., and James Goodman; four sisters, Pearlie Sutherland, Corby Wimmer, Marylou Wimmer and Pinkie White. "Harold served in the Army in occupied Germany from 1952-1960. He was a member of the Barnes-Beavers V.F.W. and a member of the American Legion at Grundy, Va. He was retired from Jewell Smokeless Coal Company and for the past 7 years, was employed by the Atlantic Group as a Nuclear Coatings Technician. Harold was a man of faith and a member of the Ivy Springs Baptist Church. He placed his Lord and Savior, family and friends first in his life. Harold enjoyed fishing, hunting, woodworking, music and was a band member of the groups Kings Harbor Band, the Poor Valley Drifters and Caiged Angel. He had a multitude of friends and loved each and everyone and always welcomed them with a loving smile and a warm heartfelt hug.
