He was a Deacon, Sunday School Teacher and Music Director at Hatchers Memorial Baptist Church. Mr. Short was a coal miner, a carpenter and he customized wheel chairs at Northern Virginia Training Center. He was a & US Navy Veteran of World War II. His parents Jerry and Goldie Short preceded him in death along with two sons Timothy Randall Short and Steven Eric Short, a daughter Deidre Lynn Short, a brother Byron Short and two sisters Upha Cline and Virginia Bunn. Survivors include his loving wife of 58 years Frankie A.
