"Phyllis Irene (Miller) Hatfield, 77, of Wharncliffe, went home to be with her Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ, on Saturday, August 11, 2007, at Williamson Appalachian Regional Hospital, South Williamson, KY. Born May 30, 1930, at Glen Alum, she was the daughter of the late Leonard & Martha (Cloud) Miller. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death her husband, Rev. Marion Hatfield; one son, Larry D. Hatfield; and one infant grandson, Chucky Dean Gibson; six brothers: Ralph, Ed, Bill, Fred, Buster, and Woodrow Miller; and 3 sisters: Margaret, Helen, and Betty Gale Miller. Phyllis was a homemaker and a member of the Varney Church of God, the Sarah Ann Church of God and the Ben Creek Free Pentecostal Church of God. Belonging to church was her life. She truly loved her brothers and sisters of her church family. Those left to love and cherish the memory of Phyllis are her children: Gary M. (Sharon) Hatfield of Chapmanville; Tammy S. Hatfield of Turkey Creek, KY; Pete Marvin Eugene (Rosanna) Hatfield; Sheena Hatfield (Carl Dean) Gibson; and Teresa K.
