"Sherry Lavon Cline age 64 of Panther WV, gained her angel wings on Oct. 8th, 2021, following a short illness. Sherry was born August 22, 1957, in Welch, WV a daughter of the late Patricia Phillips Absure Abram and Carl Thomas Absure. She was a loving and devoted “Mommy” and Nana, sister, aunt, and friend. Sherry was dedicated to her job as a retail manager at Hatfield’s Enterprise Inc for over 14 years and had worked in retail nearly all her life. She enjoyed her kids and taking care of her grandkids, riding her side by side, weekends at Bluestone, and cooking Sunday dinners. In addition to her parents and paternal and maternal grandparents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Cynthia Katrina Cline and ex-husband the late John David Cline. Survivors include her children, a daughter, Carla (Jim) Lester of Charleston, WV, two sons Jason (Cassie) Cline of Bull Creek, WV, and Chad (Kristina) Cline of Panther, WV. Her pride and joys five grandkids, AJ and Corrin Lester, and Hunter, Zackary and Brantley Cline; a sister Donna (Larry) Lockhart of Panther, WV; one brother, Johnny Absure of Tazewell, VA, her step-Dad, Jim Abram of Bosevain, VA; a special co-worker and friend Fay Hatfield, numerous nieces, nephews, and friends are left to cherish her memory. Sherry met many people through the years and made a lasting impact on everyone. She was the epitome of a Proverbs 31 woman. “In life, we loved you dearly in death we loved you still. In our hearts you hold a place no one else will ever fill”. Funeral service will be conducted Thursday Oct 14, 2021, at 1:00pm with pastors Raymond Rowe, John Wheeler, and Elder Fred Bailey officiating at the Panther Missionary Church at Panther, WV. Burial will follow in the Cline Cemetery at Short pole, WV. Sherry will be carried to her finally resting place by Bradley, Brandon, Adam, and Adyn Lockhart, Christopher Absure, Victor and Daniel Cline, David Wayne Wright, Kevin Lester, Bobby Ratliff, Josh Morgan, Coty Cline, Cody Green, Dewey Coleman, Doug Hatfield, and Dougie Hatfield. Honorary Pall bearers are Jason and Chad Cline, Jim Lester, AJ and Corrin Lester, Hunter, Zack, and Brantley Cline. Friends and family can visit the family nightly Tuesday and Wednesday Oct 12th, 2021, and Oct 13th, 2021, at 6:00pm services starting at 7:00pm at Panther Missionary Church Panther, WV. "Johnny Ray Absure, 61, of Tazewell, VA, passed away Tuesday, May 3, 2022 at his residence after a long illness."Johnny was born June 24, 1960 in Welch, WV, a of son the late Carl Thomas and Patricia Phillips Absure Abram; he was a step-son to James (Jim) Abram of Boissevain, VA. Johnny was formerly employed as a CATV technician. Before his illness, Johnny loved to flea-market; he loved people and never met a stranger. Recently in this life, Johnny began to call upon the Lord. He knew where his help came from. He often said that once he was well again, he wanted to go to the Old Regular Baptist Church. He never made it to church due to his illness but he spoke quite often to the Lord asking for forgiveness for his deeds in this life and waited patiently upon the Lord for his healing.
