"PINEVILLE — Martha Moore, 84, left peacefully on New Year’s Eve 2006 at Logan Park Care Center following a long illness. "Born Feb. 7, 1922, in Bradshaw, she was the daughter of the late Dan and Celia Blankenship Payne. "Mrs. Moore belonged to many clubs and organizations, including Order of the Eastern Star, Pine-ville Wo-man’s Club and Pine-ville Garden Club. She owned and operated her own beauty shop from 1956 to the early 1970s when she decided to retire from the salon and embark on a teaching career. She taught cosmetology for many years at the Wyoming County Vocational-Technical Center where she taught until her retirement. She spent the last five years of her life at Logan Park Care Center where she had many friends, from the residents to the staff. "In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Curtis Moore; and several brothers and sisters. "Mr. and Mrs. Moore were the proud parents of two children, a daughter, Theresa A. Fulton of Austin, Texas, and a son, Randy L. Moore of Dallas, Texas. "She is also survived by two grandchildren, Philip Davis of Austin and Leigh Bruce of Dallas; and two great-grandchildren, Ty and Alec Davis of Austin. "She was loved by all who knew her. She loved the Lord and led a Christian life. While we will miss her greatly, we know she is now with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. A mother’s love is like the love of Christ; it is patient, kind and true. We praise God and pray, thanking him so much for you. Her children rise up and call her blessed.
