Newspaper Obit; 4Jun 2006 "Perry Daniel “Pete” Bailey, 48, of Pine Creek, departed this life Sunday, June 4, 2006 at Cabell Huntington Hospital following injuries sustained in an automobile accident. Born July 30, 1957, at Logan, he was a son of the late Homer Jr. and Mary Swanner Bailey. He was also preceded in death by one sister, Yvonne Sue Bailey; two brothers, Rickey and Ethan Bailey, and grandparents, Issac Homer Bailey, Janie Queen, and Floyd and Annie Swanner. Pete was a disabled coal miner, formerly employed with Arch Coal Company, a member of the UMWA and of the Jesus Only Faith. "Survivors include his wife, Vickie Hoosier Bailey; two daughters, Carrie Lynn (Billy) Chafin of Rocky Branch, and Jessica (Rickey Bradley) Bailey of Micco; one son, Perry Bailey Jr. of Dulles Va.; two grandsons, Tyler Paul and Jacob Daniel Chafin of Rocky Branch; one granddaughter, Allison Raquel Bradley of Micco; two brothers, Gary and Timmy Bailey of Omar; two sisters, Patricia (Eugene) Spurlock of Omar and Pamela Bailey of Rossmore; mother-in-law, Mary Jo Hoosier of Crown; brothers-in-law, Terry and Teddy Hoosier of Crown, and a host of other friends and family. "Services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Thursday, June 8, at the Collins Funeral Home at Switzer with Pastor Jim Selly officiating. Burial will follow at Highland Memory Gardens at Godby..."
