"Roston was a loving brother, uncle and friend. He was a disabled school bus driver with the Wyoming County Board of Education and a carpenter. He was of the Freewill Baptist faith and will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
"Those left to love and cherish the memory of “Clarence” and to mourn his passing include his brother, Gaston Hatfield of Simon; his sister, Ophelia (Clarence) Harper of Simon; many nieces and nephews and a host of other dear relatives and friends.

St. Francis Hospital, Charleston. "Born Nov. 15, 1915, at Simon, she was the daughter of the late Milty and Emma Walker Morgan.
"She was preceded in death by her husbands, Chester Morgan and Kirt Kenneda; a son, Elbie
Morgan; seven brothers, Kelly, Azzie, Powell, Alex, George, Willie and Lee Morgan; seven
sisters,Louisa Hatfield, Lenore Belcher, Sarah, Vida, Virgie, Gladys and Betty Morgan; and a son-
in-law, Arson Kenneda. "She was a founding member of Long Branch Freewill Baptist Church with a membership of 57
years. "Survivors include three sons, James Morgan and wife, Juanita, of Simon, Grady Morgan and wife,
Brenda, of Simon and Claude Morgan and wife, Annette, of Bluefield; four daughters, Susan
Kenneda of Simon, Veronda Harrison and husband, Jimmy, of Hurricane, Zola Huff and husband,
Gary, of Simon and Nola Harless and husband, Kenneth, of Bland, Va.; two stepchildren, Betty Joe
Blankenship of Simon and Melba Lawrence of Simon; a very close sister, Pansy Kennedy
of Simon; a very special person who was like a son to her, Burley Morgan and fiancé, Beatrice
Smith; 21 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews and friends. "Service will be 1 p.m. Monday at Long Branch Freewill Baptist Church, Simon, with the Revs.
Lonnie Blankenship and Barry Brooks officiating. Burial will follow in Morgan Family Cemetery,
Long Branch..."

"Lebern E. “Till” Lusk passed away at her home, on Sept. 17, 2005, after a long illness. "She was born on Oct. 28, 1918 at Herndon, one of 14 children born to John and Georgia Monk Lusk.
"After graduating from Herndon High School, she spent many years assisting her brothers, Amos
“Buzz” and Burless, at Lusk Brothers Grocery in Allen Junction. She retired in 1979 to the family farm
near Herndon. In July 1922, she and her sister Hester moved to Beckley. Ms. Lusk was a member of
the Bud Baptist Church for many years. "She was preceded in death by her sisters, Hester Mannine and Nola Brooks; and brothers, Aven
Lusk, Harold Lusk, Burless Lusk, and Amos “Buzz” Lusk. "She is survived by a son, Bobby Acord and his wife Anna of Marshall, Va.; two grandchildren, Kenny
Acord of Flagstaff, Ariz., and granddaughter, Leigh Anna Willard of Wilmington, N.C. Survivors also
