"CORINNE -- Lawrence M. "Bill" Church, 76, died Friday, Jan. 21, 2005, at a Beckley hospital
following a long illness. "Born July 2, 1928, at Bud, he was the son of the late Lawrence and Ice Bolon Church. "Mr. Church was a former coal miner, having retired from Consol Coal Company with 42 years of
service. He was a member of the UMWA and Local 9690 at Itmann. "He attended the Mullens Church of God. In his leisure time, he enjoyed fishing, hunting, gardening
and playing musical instruments. "Mr. Church was a U.S. Army veteran, having served during the Korean Conflict. "In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Tersa Church; two brothers,
Roger and Gerald Church; and a sister, Jeanne Ward. "Survivors include his wife of 50 years, Gearldine Cumby Church; two daughters, Suzetta Blake and
her husband, Timothy, of Hotchkiss, and Donna Bowers and her husband, Gary, of Helen; three
sons, Gary Church of Stephenson, Timmy Church and his wife, Tina, of Corinne, and Greg Church
and his wife, Michelle, of Mullens; a sister, Erma Lambert of Herndon; six brothers, Larry Church
