"Pauline was a lifelong resident of Wyoming County as well as a longtime member of Rockcastle Baptist Church. Pauline had a compassionate heart and touched many through her kindness and generosity. She never hesitated to help a friend in need. She was a loving mother; each of her children will tell you that they were her favorite. Her grandchildren will attest that there was no better mamaw in the whole wide world. Pauline was known for her grace, style, and strawberry cake.
"In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband and father of her children, Edward W. Allen, her second, Rev. Keith Raymond, two brothers: Bernard Cook and Ronald Cook, two sisters: Ruby Thompson and Geneva Mason.
"Those left to cherish her memory include three children: Debra Goddard (John), Darryl Allen (Robin) and Dee Dee Mathis (Ed), five grandsons: John “Chip” Goddard, David Goddard, Michael Allen, Chad Allen and Adam Rhodes, five step-grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren with another on the way, two great-great-grandchildren, her brother, William Cook (Peggy), sister-in-law, Mildred Cook, devoted nephew, Terry Mason, special friend, Arlis Cook, beloved nieces and nephews, a wonderful church family and many other friends.
