"Georgia Blankenship, 52, of Welch, WV, passed away Wednesday, January 22, 2020 in Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown, WV."Georgia was born September 15, 1967, in Welch, WV, a daughter of the late George and Tondel Muncy Blankenship. She was a very loving and caring person and was employed as a dispatcher for STAT EMS.
"In addition to her parents, George and Tondel Blankenship, Georgia was preceded in death by her grandparents, John and Polly Muncy and Louie and Fannie Acosta; and one sister, Sherry Blankenship.
"Georgia is survived by one uncle, Junior Osborne and wife Ida of Jolo, WV; one niece, Leslie Paige Osborne also of Jolo; numerous other family members and friends; and her special family, the STAT employees of McDowell and Wyoming counties, whom she loved dearly and enjoyed working with.
"Funeral services will be conducted Sunday, January 26, 2020 at 12 noon with Pastor Brian Patterson and Pastor Charles Rose officiating at the Bradshaw Church of God in Bradshaw, WV. Georgia will be honored with full EMS honors. Burial will follow in Tom Day Cemetery on Stateline Ridge #2 near Paynesville, WV. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
