scout, married Susan Stephenson and they had five sons; that Samuel and the three oldest boys were killed by Indians, leaving Susan with two younger boys Eli and Samuel, Jr; that Susan married Thomas Godfrey and had two children, Absalom and Byrd Godfrey; that Eli Lusk and Absalom, half brothers, were early settlers in the head of Little Huff about 1824; that Samuel Lusk, Jr, was the scout made prisoner by the Indians in 1792; that neither Samuel Lusk, Sr, nor Samuel Lusk, Jr, ever lived in Wyoming Co, territory." This is corroborated by Johnston's "History of the New River Settlements", which relates the story of Samuel Lusk, Jr...."
